In May 2025, the Emigration Museum in Gdynia celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special edition of the Night of Museums, dedicated to the theme of T I M E.
Set in the historic Marine Station (Dworzec Morski) — a place shaped by constant change and movement — the event transformed the building into a living timeline. Dynamic projections traced the passage of time, from the origins of the Marine Station to the present day, filling the interiors with light, sound, and motion. Images and audio merged to create an immersive, collective experience of the moment.

For this anniversary night, Tomasz Gawroński created a site-specific video mapping inspired by the museum’s ten-year journey and the layered history of the Marine Station. The visual narrative was built using archival photographs, weaving together memory, architecture, and contemporary digital expression.
In parallel, Tomasz Gawroński designed a lighting illumination project for the Museum building’s façade as well as for one of the site’s most important symbols — the “People of the Sea” monument. The monument commemorates individuals whose lives were connected to the sea, and its defining element is a monumental 17th-century Admiralty anchor, which became a powerful focal point of the nighttime illumination.
