OPERNICUS FESTIVAL
 6 - 11 May 2014 Kraków PL

The festival co-organised by the Copernicus Center for Interdisciplinary Studies and Tygodnik Powszechny will take place from 7th to 11th May and will be devoted to reflections concerning the place of science in culture and its relations to such phenomena as spirituality, literature, and art.

The dodecahedron represents Spirit and was the last of the Platonic solids to be discovered.
Various models have been proposed for the global geometry of the universe.

Dodecahedral objects have found some practical applications, and have also played a role in the visual arts and in philosophy.

The regular dodecahedron, often simply called "the dodecahedron," is the Platonic solid composed of 20 polyhedron vertices, 30 polyhedron edges, and 12 pentagonal faces.
