Miazmat
open air

Do you know what has always been the coolest thing about parties/raves/clubs (the nomenclature is not important)? The fact that at least during these ten hours you can
reset
your
mind, break away from reality and all kinds of problems. Artificial social frameworks no longer apply and everyone can finally let go of unnecessary conventions.
When viewed this way, we find the current state of affairs somewhat objectionable. All attempts to look like a clone from the queue for Berghain or KitKat and these movements straight from the possesion are in fact nothing more than imposing further top-down standards. Exactly the same mechanism that we encounter in society every day.

Someone
expects
us
to be
"something".

By making Miazmat, from the very beginning we wanted to break with the black and white, generic canon of the "techno" party.
Do you like wearing a leather harness? Cool.
Do you like rainbow shirts? Also extra.
Are you crazy and you dress like that? This is great too!
Let's give up on this artificial atmosphere and just unzip the gates without looking who, what and how.
It starts to get interesting when everyone is different, but everyone is groovy (because without a groove it's shit, not a party). As long as you get the vibe and know the ocb, you don't need anything else.

Okay, here's The Advent Essentials.
After reading this short introduction to Cisco Ferreira's work, absolutely everyone, regardless of their date of birth, will be able to say that The Advent is an absolute boss.
We won't be hipsters here, so at the beginning we will only focus on classics and recognized releases. We'll leave the subjective digger for another time.
As you can guess, since the early 1990s, many, many albums, EPs and singles under the banner of The Advent have been released. The most influential releases are most often mentioned (chronological order):
"𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞" (𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟓)
This album is considered a breakthrough in The Advent's work. After the release of "Elements of Life", Cisco jumped into the so-called "first league" and immediately began to be perceived as a leading figure on the techno scene. Even though over 18 years have passed, songs from this album can be heard every night in Warsaw (and beyond). Be sure to check out the songs “Spaceism” and “Bad Boy”.
"𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬" (𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟕)
The title is not accidental here. This album is a departure from the previous sound with which The Advent is associated - the so-called driving techno. There are a lot of ambient and experimental elements. Many (not just die-hard fans like us) count "New Beginnings" as one of the most important albums of that time. Be sure to check out the songs “Standers”, “Armageden”, “Runners” and “Insight”.
“𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬” (𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟖)
EP released for the Tresor label, equally legendary as The Advent. Here, without unnecessary philosophy, you can hear songs that demonstrate the characteristic sound of The Advent. Hard-hitting, rhythm driven and pumping as they described it on Hard Wax. The EP contains some of our favorite songs ever by this artist and they are absolute dance floor killers that wreak havoc. This is an EP so be sure to check everything out.
"𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐩 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐤" (𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟎)
First of all, the cover is total crap. Of course, musically it is similar. Quite repetitive, but that's part of the charm of this album. Stylistically, these are mainly electro tracks, but you can hear mental techno and The Advent's signature high-hats. The character of this album is perfectly reflected in a description we once encountered on discogs: violent and fun. Be sure to check out the songs “Stassis”, “E-tox” and “Signum”.
“𝐊𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝟐𝟐” (𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟖)
Let's not say that we only recommend old stuff, because The Advent still has a lot to say. The sample "i say i hope you readyyy" used in the song "High Horse" is absolutely devastating. Suacy. On the B-side you will hear more raw grooves straight from the 90s, which is currently experiencing a renaissance and we hope this is just the beginning! This is an EP so be sure to check everything out.
Overall, The Advent's discography speaks for itself. If you don't want to read it, just listen to it, or come to the Bardowski Reservoir on May 20.
UFO95
Is another guest who comes to Miazmat Open Air: THE ADVENT / UFO95 / BLANK / B2W / GUMMI / MATRIX3K from outside Poland. Despite a relatively short period of activity on the stage, this emerging talent has already performed, among others, performances in places such as Berghain / Panorama Bar or Vault Sessions.
Known for his live formula and his minimalist set-up (all he needs to get the job done is an octatrack and a mixer). Musically, he draws heavily from the 90s, both from the then techno scene, UK jungle and IDM, combining everything into a hypnotic, dynamic and definitely unique sound.
Living above his parents' nightclub, Killian was exposed to music from an early age. In his teens, he started working in sound production and engineering. He has performed under many aliases so far, but the real turning point in his career was 2020. Then the nickname UFO95 was created and his first full-length longplay "Popularity is overrated" was released.
His work ethic cannot be denied either - he reports to the studio every day at 9 a.m. and works on new productions and live shows until 6 p.m. As you can see (or hear), hard work pays off, because with each new release you can hear the evolution of UFO95, which invites you to new sonic and star journeys.
It will also perform live at the Bardowski Reservoir.
UFO95 is a good guy.
Gummi
We know Sylwia aka gummi from the times when we played together on the other side of the DJ booth. She was already known for her excellent selection and everyone pestered her with questions like "why don't you play?" Apparently after a few years she had enough of it and finally started playing. And that's a good thing, because the Warsaw scene lacked a player like Gummi.
Even though she has always been a fan of Mike Parker and Spazio Disponibile, her sets are dominated by UK sounds, such as garage, dubstep and jungle. Of course, she also smuggles in a lot of techno, but in her sets the genres actually change like a kaleidoscope, so it's probably best to just listen without trying to pigeonhole her.
At Miazmat Open Air: THE ADVENT / UFO95 / BLANK / B2W / GUMMI / MATRIX3K gummi opens, so make sure you get to the reservoir early, otherwise there will be tears.

Blank
Straight out of Wrzeszcz a battlement also comes to us. There is plenty of techno in the Miazmat Open Air: THE ADVENT / UFO95 / BLANK / B2W / GUMMI / MATRIX3K release, so it's worth breaking it up a bit. There are a lot of sets where someone mixes a few electro songs into 4x4. Blank, however, does it the other way around - he likes to mix a few techno bangers with dirty electro, dubstep, UK garage, and when he's in a good mood, he'll even play IDM.
This is a very fresh approach, because there is no denying that Poland is mostly homogeneous.
To all the ghetto freaks - come to Zalew Bardowskiego from the beginning, because you will miss this set and you will cry later.

This time she will take care of us in the chill zone and we will be able to see her works on entanglement in immersion.
We invite you on a spatial trip through 3D animations and video art.
