On July 16, 1922, the government of the Republic of Poland signed in Katowice a symbolic act of taking over Upper Silesia, which crowned several years of efforts by activists and Silesian Uprisings aimed at joining the Silesian lands to the motherland.
On the 100th anniversary of these events, Muzeum·Wy·Dźwięki have been planned at the Silesian Museum in Katowice.
The concert part of the Muzeum·Wy·Dźwięki event will begin at 21:30 Ukrainian duo Vellow, presenting material combining electronics with pop and soul elements. Together with the duo, the band Altra Volta will appear on stage - a string quartet from Katowice founded by graduates of the Academy of Music in Katowice. The musicians will perform a repertoire composed of classical and contemporary music, often featuring film, folk and improvised music.

The main part of the event Muzeum·Wy·Dźwięki , i.e. a special concert, is scheduled for 22:45. Especially for this occasion, the musicians of the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy under the baton of Marek Moś, together with the composer and conductor Piotr Peszat and the music producer and sound engineer BIØS, prepared a material reinterpreting the most famous insurgent songs. This evening, the musicians will play new versions of Rota Śląska, A beaten road from Bytom or Kajze Mi Się Divided My Synocek.

The event will end with a midnight concert by the Fryderyk Award-nominated duo Rysy.
The artistic director of the event, Paweł Pindur, considers the concert to be a great opportunity to rediscover the history of Silesia - We want to remind the residents that in the reborn Republic of Poland, the interest in the "Upper Silesian matter" was huge. It has been 100 years since the historical events - three consecutive Silesian Uprisings and the Plebiscite, and as a consequence, the merger of part of Upper Silesia with the Republic of Poland. Through artistic activities addressed mainly to young residents of the Silesian Voivodeship - the organization of an open-air concert at the Silesian Museum under the baton of Marek Moś and his AUKSO orchestra with the participation of artists of the Polish electronic music scene - we hope that the event will attract not only people interested in historical topics.
