Cieszyńska II

“It’s definitely exciting to have stranger electronics on the dancefloor.”
Identified Patient

After the first, very successful party at Cieszyńska 9, we come back with the second and final event there.
To the industrial space of TEL KOM TELLOS, this time we invited
one of the most talented Dutch DJs and producers – Identified Patient. Helping him will be: a very active person on the Warsaw scene – Ola Teks, founders of Wodawater – Chateu Shatter, and Anatomy of Mashup.
Everything will be topped by optical arrangment prepared by Tving Stage Design, which, as usual, will take you to a different dimension of audiovisual sensations.
During the event, we are hosting the Boiler Room crew, which at that time will be making a documentary film about the Krakow electronic music scene.
When in the post-war communist Poland the most important part of the economy became heavy industry, many factories and production plants were founded.
One of them is the building at 9 Cieszyńska Street, where telephone sets, switches, transformers or TV antennas were manufactured.
In the 1970s, the Telos factory became a factory specializing mainly in the production of atypical phones, exporting abroad around 40% of its goods.
After 1989, unlike many other companies and plants, company successfully underwent system changes. This was mainly due to the high specialization of the factory.

Identified Patient
Identified Patient is one of the most intriguing talents to materialize from Holland’s bustling music scene in recent times. The Amsterdam based artist made a strong up-rise through some of Rotterdam’s finest imprints while filling dance-floors across the country and throughout Europe. His style infuses raw aesthetics with unrivalled, relentless energy which he translates into his productions as fluidly as his DJ sets. Proudly listing his musical inspirations to include Madonna and George Michael as well as The Prodigy and Legowelt -these early seeds were sewn and it wasn’t long before his passion for music burned stronger and stronger. The desire to create became a priority and from this moment, Identified Patient was born.
With a trade mark sound that drifts between the experimental sides of wave, techno and acid, it wasn’t long before his music gained the attention of Rotterdam based labels Common Thread, Pinkman and later London’s Brokntoys. These outlets would become the platforms for his early releases which were recognised as straight hits in several charts and clubs throughout Europe and beyond. At present Identified Patient continues to work closely with Sophie du Palais, who’s dark and dirty vocals are a recurring feature throughout his music, alongside several other projects such as his recently formed alias Stallion Stud. More of this to unfold in the very near future…

“I wanted the mix to be somewhere between home listening and a feeling of the dancefloor, so it flirts with both aesthetics and energies.”
Identified Patient

Besides his fresh and pounding machine-works, Identified Patient has put himself on the map with his highly energetic DJ sets that jump in all directions both musically and physically, oozing a sexual nature with zestfully unpredictable selections. In 2018 he made his mark with performances at a number of Dekmantel events (his debut Boiler Room performance being a key highlight) and became a regular face at the avant-garde club De School.
The future looks incredibly bright for Identified Patient with a compelling list of forthcoming releases and a seriously extensive touring schedule for 2019  …the desire to spread his musical anecdotes into the cosmos and beyond is stronger than ever!

"Yeah I’m definitely more of a sound design kind of guy. I can get super excited when I hear a certain sound that blows my mind. I’d be like, how the hell did they do that? And then I want to go and learn how I can make that myself."
Identified Patient

A DJ, a vinyls enthusiast, a member of the Move Move collective and the creator of the Move Mózg cycle. A musical eclectism is her trademark. She can successfully mix gentle house sounds with a dark, powerful techno. She uses melodic, analog and intriguing sounds but also sampled vocals. Ola is responsible for the Move Mózg cycle which has already gathered a big and loyal fanbase. The event primarily focuses on delivering the best music and visuals. Since the September 2018 she's been a resident of the Jasna 1 club. As a DJ she's played at many major events (e.g. supporting Steffi, Virginia, Xosar, Object, Lake People, FJAAK, Dr. Rubinstein, Tin Man and others, as well as playing sets at festivals/events Plötzlich am Bodden, Feel Festival (GER).) Her main goal is to make other people happy with her music.

Château Shatter
The founders of Wodawater - brothers Kuba Château and Trousseaux. After a decade of an overseas separation they eventually united in Kraków. They are DJs loyal to the vinyls. The first of them trails the wonders of nature, things extremely rare, swan singing and albino dolphins. He's the author of the novel "Oswajanie szkła." The second one builds his own instruments, creates samples out of a cantaloupe, video arts and film music. He's the creator of such music projects as Man Fear, Palace Sound, Dominguez-Shimata and Swallows Fly Low. His EP „Antitruth /Lovelorn” released a publication series Wodawater. He also produces under the name Shatterkunst aka Massive Mike. As a duet Château Shatter provide eclectic selection of vinyl techno, acid and trans. Each of them is sort of older and at the same time younger than the other one.

Anatomy Of Mashup
They started by composing music together and exploring the new form of sounds. Finally they decided to join forces and launched their own production and live performance. Their unconventional approach to combining different types of music has resulted in cooperation which goes beyond everyday schemes.

ART IS ON!
The space of the TELKOM TELOS factory, in addition to the greenery you know from the previous edition, will be decorated with mysterious installations, gadgets and artifacts. The artists from FLU Grypa Twórcza:

In addition to the well-known broadcasts of sets by great artists,
Boiler Room has also undertaken another interesting mission. Their next idea is to support local, grassroots initiatives in cities around the world. The Boiler Room team also visited our event at Cieszyńska.
