The scenery is also very original. Not simple, but not necessarily. It makes us realize that everything is a game - life, relationships between us, our attitudes towards others, etc. The scenography, which I admire so much, consists of colorful beams that make me think of a game of picks! However, the game is as historical as the art and perhaps the young people watching the performance will not understand this metaphor. The cast of actors fits perfectly into this strange, oneiric space of pieces and clouds.
The director of the Gliwice production left the text of the original alone, but preceded it with an imaginary scene and a few staging procedures, thanks to which the whole is interpreted differently by us.

He gave what is about to happen some kind of quotation marks, he metaphorized and made the actions of the characters unreal. Well, Gabriel Gietzky came up with the idea that everything that happens on stage is... untrue. In the overture, the two actors – young lovers – go to sleep in pajamas, so the strange story about the Ladies who want to match the Hussars will simply be their dream, which we watch on stage (it is worth watching this beginning while being focused, otherwise the metaphor will run away). This surrealism is intensified by clouds made of umbrellas suspended above the ceiling of the ramp and dreamlike projections during the performance.
