This is a leading music event in Poland, presenting every year the most interesting debutants and the greatest classics of modern electronics, as well as jazz, rock and hip-hop artists. Among the invited guests there are also representatives of contemporary and avant-garde music.
TNMKonline is the first hybrid event in the 15-year history of the Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice festival. While the vast majority of festivals in Poland have been canceled out of necessity, we have not succumbed to the pandemic. Along with online streaming, there were also club events with the audience.

Ambassadors of Polish electronics
The world ambassadors of Polish electronics, i.e. Skalpel, are also back with new material. For years, Marcin Cichy and Igor Pudło combined inspiration from the local jazz tradition with a fascination with the possibilities of new electronics. Their recordings interested the cult label Ninja Tune.
In recent years, the band has toured with a big band, performing studio compositions in arrangements for a 17-person orchestra. The upcoming, fourth album of the group, entitled "Highlight", is the most eclectic album in Skalpel's career. In Poland it will be released by NoPaper Records, and worldwide its promotion and distribution will be handled by the cult publishing house !K7 Records.
